At a 3 hour show of original music at a local coffee house,
PS met with folk guitarist Dirk Van Dyke. Dirk was an amazingly competent guitar player and was soon thrown into the lineup. His knowledge of theory helped the band gain their wall of sound without muddying the mix
at all. The band soon began recording with Howard Glazer at Bleedthrough Sound in Dearborn. Howard, a story all to himself, laid some guitar tracks on the recordings to
"round out" the songs. This gave the band an intense wall of sound but
unfortunately proved too much for live shows. These recordings were never completed (some of the mp3 demos are from this session). The lineup also disbanded shortly
thereafter. As a 3-piece once again, Brian started recording demos on his computer using samples and loops. It was
kind of a throwback to the days of BSTP with Rich and Paul throwing in blips and dada here and there. Paul
had started working with another band at the same time, the "Whoremoans". Rich was impressed with the Whoremoans' punk rock attack but especially with their guitarist Matt Rea.
